Development of Behavioral Health Modules for Med-Surg Nurses

Project Overview

AMSN desires to develop educational modules addressing the care and communication needs of adult patients who have behavioral health issues.

AMSN requires a subject matter expert (SME) and an instructional designer/design firm (ID) to work in collaboration to develop interactive online learning modules.

Five modules are desired that address the following topics:

  • Suicide/Suicidal ideation
  • ETOH/Drug withdrawal including benzodiazepines
  • Complex behavioral patient
  • Personality disorders
  • De-escalation of the angry/violent patient

Qualifications

The search committee will be looking for a subject matter expert with qualifications and experience in the following:

  • Master’s Degree or higher education (required)
  • Adult behavioral health nursing (required)
  • Education of adults (required)
  • Instructional design (desired, not required)
  • Online learning (desired, not required)
